Fastest ever blog spam

I’ve only just posted my thoughts on the “evolution of the mobile,” and already there’s comment spam – claiming to be Google Romania authentication. How utterly bizarre.

  1. “Instant” comment spam can happen when they post to a post that hasn’t been written yet. This can be hard for some blog systems to pick up. (The id of the post that the spam comment is attached to hasn’t been allocated yet.)

WordPress oughta handle it. If comment spam is a problem, use Spam Karma 2. It is fantastic. And donate.

  2. Thanks Charles – been getting more of this stuff lately, and yes – WordPress (Akismet?) does catch it all. Odd though.

    Clever, annoying spammers.
