Don’t know why people didn’t raise the same fuss over Dogma – it’s got to challenge at least as many of the same institutional ‘truths’ – I guess maybe people don’t take Kevin Smith as seriously as they take Dan Brown, which makes me sad with the universe. Kevin Smith is a genius.
And yes, I am watching E4 tonight…
I liked Dogma the first time I watched it, but every subsequent time, it irritated me a little.
I know what you mean; it was written with a little less subtlety than most of Kevin Smith’s films (with the exception of Jay & Silent Bob – that was as subtle as a kick in the teeth). Still, has some funny moments. And its probably a better film than the Da Vinci Code, currently rated at 18% on Rotten Tomatoes…
