I always plug too many things into my computer. Something in the last batch of things I’ve added to the USB daisy chain, or possibly my flash new Freecom NAS, has caused my computer to crash to the new, improved, WindowsXP “blue screen of death”.
Google has failed me. Can a visiting Geek to my blog tell me what I can do about the mysterious “lpx.sys” that keeps causing my computer to crash catastrophically?
I lost my Windows profile at work yesterday. Net result: new password, new settings, needing to set up everything from scratch and re-import all favourites and bookmarks. Augh!
Minor, inconsequential rant, but I find myself annoyed by Friendster’s constant emails telling me people I vaguely know have updated their blogs.
Given that blogs are now appearing at the rate of one per second according to Technorati (a dubious source, I suspect), its difficult to care about anyone’s blog unless they have compelling content (mine really doesn’t, in case you think I thought that much of myself…) or you know/like the person.
I aim to be liked, and those spammers over at Friendster clearly don’t… At least they’re not likely to end up dead, though.
Wohoooooo! I managed to get the Amazon media manager plugin to work almost by myself! Admittedly, it took some help from Chris once again, but I was able to fiddle and google until I’ve got it to display, albeit in a slightly ugly fashion. I will fix this eventually (probably with Chris’ help), but I’ll need to learn about CSS first…
Anyone who’s been frantically refreshing division6 this afternoon will notice that the site has gone through multiple different flavours. Am trying out new themes on WordPress, trying to get the del.icio.us plugin to work, and various other technical things.
Going to stick with this on for a bit… Let me know if you have any thoughts / comments in the new improved comments box!
